Minor offences are easily forgiven, but if you continue to purposely break rules you will face suspension and eventually be banned. Lots of these aren't rules, they just explain what happens in certain situations, like how to challenge, get started, clam land etc. I understand there are lots of them, and they are constantly being edited and fine-tuned. This is simply to ensure the site runs smoothly.
GETTING STARTED
•Only one character per account. You may have as many characters as you'd like, but they all need to have a separate account. Please use your character's name as your username and your personal text as your roleplayer name.
•Before making a character, see this thread to see what mutations are available to give your character.
•To make a character to roleplay with: go to the board 'Register a Character'. There, make a thread (post) with your character's information. There is a sticked form you must fill out.
•Your character will then be accepted as quickly as possible by a staff member.
•However if there are problems with your character, you will be asked to change some things before it can be accepted.
•You may start roleplaying once your character has been accepted. Until then, please refrain to posting only in the OOC boards. We will try to accept your character as quickly as possible.
CHARACTERS
•Eventide Moor is a wild horse roleplaying site, meaning all of the characters MUST be horses.
•There are four factions in this roleplay: the Dead, the Common, the Pure and the Living. See the thread in this board for more information about each faction.
•No unrealistic colours are allowed.
•Unrealistic markings are allowed, but try to keep them tasteful (no hearts/stars/etc).
•Try to be creative with names. If you are stuck for a name try looking up synoyms for a word (dictionary.com) or you can try looking up names in different languages.
•If you don't want to play a character anymore please make a short post in the charrie's information thread and it will be deleted. If you wish to put your character up for adoption, make a thread in the Adoption board.
GENERAL
•No powerplaying. This means controlling a character that is not yours.
•No godmodelling. This is when a character's traits are unrealistic, otherwise 'god-like'.
•Cussing is allowed, don't go overboard with it.
•Your character can be in numerous places at one time, meaning you can be doing several roleplays with that charrie - this is otherwise known as 'liquid time' and it is allowed.
BREEDING
•Force breeding is allowed.
•Lead stallions have the right to breed with any of the mares in his herd, whether he forces them to or not.
•Mares may breed at the age of three. Stallions may breed at the age of two.
•After breeding the mare can give birth immediately or wait a while if the roleplayer chooses.
•To create your foal see the Foaling board - all rules for making foals are contained inside.
BIRTHING
•To create your foal, make a thread in the Foaling board. The form gives us the details of the dam and sire, to determine the traits of the foal.
•A staff member will give you the following information in your foaling thread: Colour, Eye Colour, Markings, Mutation, Power.
•There is an option in the form to request any of the traits the staff member gives you, it is up to you if you would like specific traits or if you like them to be randomly given to you.
FIGHTING/CHALLENGING
•To challenge for a mare/anything, simply make a thread in the appropriate board and include the name of your opponent in the thread title.
•To challenge for a subboard land simply make a challenge thread in your desired land.
•Violence is allowed.
•God-modelling and power playing are closely monitored during fights - if either of these occur the offender will automatically lose.
•Stallions may fight mares and vice versa.
•When killing during a battle, both roleplayers must agree.
•Whoever makes the challenge thread gets to attack first.
•You get 5 attacks and only 1 dodge during the fight - you may include more than one attack per post.
•The fight will be judged by a staff member, and their decision may be based on the roleplaying skill, creativity etc.
•Fights may be over anything.
CLAIMING/LAND
•Each mainboard land is available to be controlled by a faction and each subboard land is available to be claimed by an individual - see this thread for more information.
•Each mainboard land can be controlled by a faction. Say a land is controlled by the Common - any common character would generally be welcomed there and any Dead or Living character would be very unwelcome there.
