After the last building ends in Cattleskull the open-range plains begin. The first few kilometres are littered with hundreds of bovine skeletons, but eventually the landscape clears and the scrubland can be appreciated in its harsh beauty. Out of the dust juts a dark ridge with a few groves of Joshua trees and cacti breaking up the lifeless horizon. This is Heartache Ridge, a large territory given by the faction controlling Cattleskull for a herd to own.

THE AUCTION YARD

After the cattle pens have been filled with slaves from every faction, the Auctions begin. They take place at the heart of Cattleskull ranch, where a raised dais serves as the auctioneers stage and the small paddock behind holds the 'product'. Most slaves are sold to the Dead and Common for their lifeblood - the slaves do not last long after they are sold. Others are brought to The Temple as a sacrifice to the Deities. No matter what the purpose, any slave can be bought or sold here.

CATTLESKULL RANCH
In the middle of the Lightning Fields sprawls a 10-acre ranch of multiple buildings. Though long abandoned by its human inhabitants, Cattleskull Ranch has always been well-maintained by the faction controlling it. While it was once a cattle ranch, these days it operates as a slave trade. The corrals and cattle stalls are ideal for containing the slaves (both living and dead) brought here although they often contain the carcasses of the cattle that once occupied them. The main arena is the head of operations for the faction controlling the market, where they reside and conduct the business...
