Claiming Land

In EM we have what are called mainboard lands (lands visible from the front page - ie. Cattleskull Ranch, Wildwood etc.) and there are subboard lands within the mainboards.

MAINBOARD LANDS

• These are controllable by a whole faction. Once a mainboard has been claimed, it will be 'controlled' by that faction and only characters of that faction will be welcomed there (all others will be chased off/attacked). In addition, every time a character posts there they will get 10 Moorwater instead of the regular 5!
  
• To control a mainboard, make a thread in your desired land.
  
• You must then get two other characters of the same faction as your character to join the thread
  
• In total, there must be at least three characters of the same faction present in a land (IF IT IS UNCONTROLLED)
  
• If a mainboard land is already controlled by a faction, you must bring at least FIVE characters of the same faction to the land in one thread. They will then 'overthrow' the old faction and control of the land will go to the new faction.

SUBBOARD LANDS

• Subboard lands are small parts of the land described in the mainboard.
  
• These are claimable by a single character (mare or stallion).
  
• These can only be claimed by characters that belong to the mainboard's faction.
  
• If the mainboard is not controlled by any faction you may still claim the subboard lands but it is dangerous - you are all alone there and someone will eventually come to claim the whole place (pray they are in the same faction as you!)
  
• The character that claims these becomes the lead mare/stallion and they may form a herd there.
  
• If a subboard land is already claimed, you must challenge the lead for their land via a staff-judged in character battle.
